The Hive is a state-of-the-art facility owned and operated by the Umbrella Corporation.It is located deep under the ground below Raccoon City.It received its name for the distinct bee hive like shape it is in.There are two ways into the facility.One is by the mansion located in the woods outside of Raccoon City.The other way in is through a building in Raccoon City itself.Once entering through the mansion, a train is accessible at the bottom of a long stairwell. However,the map located below is slightly wrong.The train leads to the top of the underground facility,not to botton.The top levels of the Hive are made up by offices,mostly used for budgeting and other tasks.A few levels below the offices are the labs.Used for research development of the virus,the labs are an important part in the Hive.At the very bottom of the Hive is the specimen room.This room houses all of Umbrella's biological weapons, and acts as a holding area for them.Very near the specimen room is the control room,security hallway and the Queen's chambers. A very intricate and expensive facility,the Hive is home to 500 employees and hundreds of specimens.
